Italian Glaze

This is a sweet / tangy glaze that works great on chicken, ribs, chops, salmon, even burgers!  This recipe makes about a cup of glaze that lasts for a couple weeks in the fridge.  It brushes on better when it’s warm so use it fresh or warm it a bit before using.

Ingredients:

·         1 cup PUNCH ABRUZZO

·         ½ cup dark brown sugar

·         ½ cup ketchup (or 1/3 cup tomato paste)

·         2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce

·         ½ a lemon (juice only) or 2 TBSP lemon juice

·         ¼ cup apple cider vinegar

·         Pinch of salt and pepper

Directions:

Whisk ingredients together in a sauce pan.  Place on stove on medium heat.  Simmer until it reduces about a third, stirring regularly to prevent burning (about 12-15 minutes).  Make up a batch ahead of time to have a delicious Punch Glaze to use throughout the week.
